Gentlemen:

My name is Bobby Skinner.  I am the Tuesday’s Blitz Director for ABMC.  We are a group of men of approximately 150 players.  Give or take.  We keep growing every week or so.  Not to say we have 150 players playing every week.  On an average, we may have around 120, again, give or take.  We have 37 teams who have permanent tee times.  Their times do change from time to time due to time change and teams dropping out for one reason or another.  Each year in October, we have a Lottery Draw where teams will be drawn out of a hat or box, and choose the tee times they like.  Obviously, not every team gets the time they want.  Anyway, the new tee times begins in January. 

The Pro Shop will not let us add additional teams.  They say we have too many as it is.  We do maintain a standby list each week to fill any empty spots.  Don’t worry, there are always open spots.  The sooner you contact me, the better chance you get the tee time you like.

PLEASE READ ALL EMAILS COMPLETELY.  There are very good information attached to the emails.  Read them.  We play by USGA rules.

The procedure for checking in:  check in with the Duty Person, before you go to the Pro Shop, at least 30 minutes prior to your tee time.  If you don’t pay for the Pools, you will not be eligible for any of the Pools.  In other word, if you get an Eagle on #6 or a Hole in One on #17, all you get is an at a boy.  NO MONEY.  The Buy-In will be $10.  It covers The BLITZ GAME, CTFS, SKINS, and STABLEFORD/POINTS. 

There is a $100 pot for both Gold & White SKINS each.  In order to win a SKIN, you must have the only BIRDIE or better score on that hole.  For CTFS, we pay $25 per hole on the North & $33 on the South.  The remaining money will go to the BLITZ GAME and STABLEFORD/POINTS.  A minimum of $10 will go to the last place player on STABLEFORD/POINTS.

Right now, we have a primary and backup scoring system.  Our primary is Golf Genius.  It’s an app you can download.  It’s very easy to operate.  ONLY ONE PLAYER PER GROUP IS ALLOWED TO USE THE APP.  Otherwise, it messes up your scores.  Our backup is a scorecard that is generated by Golf Genius and printed up, and handed out during check in.  Player’s names are in the same order as on the app.  It has players name, handicap index, course handicap, and the dots where each of the players gets a stroke, if any.  Usually, one of the regular players will score using the app and one using the scorecard. 

It’s recommended that you learn the Golf Genius app.  You may have to be the one using it someday.

When your round is complete, it is very important that you make sure that your scores are correct on the app.  Double check every hole.  Once the app is closed and the scores are submitted, that’s it.  Your score is in.  It will not be changed. 

DO NOT POST YOUR SCORE AFTER YOUR ROUND.  I will post all scores.
